Acceptable, but Needs Improvement

The breakfast offered a plentiful selection of tasty items.
On arrival, the receptionist was not very cute. She seemed completely unconcerned that the hotel restaurant was the sole reason we booked the hotel, as my partner loves it! I found this quite bothersome.

convenient location nice food cigarette smoke noisy room
the location proved convenient, especially with the bus stop and train station directly across from the hotel. i found the hotel food to be quite nice.
the first room i was assigned had a noticeable cigarette smoke smell. i was moved to another room, but i found out it was directly above the bar and was quite noisy.

disruptive noise worn table mats
the location was quite good , close to the railway station.
the noise from the bar was quite disruptive until after midnight. the entrance hall felt quite unkempt , it really needs painting and a refurbishment. the table mats in the restaurant looked old and worn.

central location free carpark
the location was very central. the hotel also provides a large carpark that is free . i had a lovely breakfast with many options, cooked fresh to order.
the hotel has no left-luggage facility. i had to carry bags around, inconvenient.

decent stay with some issues

noisy room basic breakfast
the noise was a problem. my room faced the street so it was really noisy. the music from the pub below also kept me awake. breakfast was basic, i expected a better selection. the room was a twin guest room but i would have liked a double.
